Spring Season:

Saturday games:

• U10, U12, U14

Sunday games:

• U16, U19, or HS 7v7

MTOC:  6/27 – 6/29

 

(If we have an Odd # of teams in a division/flight; Games will need to be played during the week)

 

We only have 8 weeks.  Will be pushing for even numbered groups for D1/D2 MTOC eligible teams for scheduling

• MTOC Eligible teams
  • Must start 4/5 and complete by 6/8 (8 weekends for games)
• Non-MTOC Eligible teams
  • Start by 4/5 and complete by 6/16

Key Dates:

Jan 4^th:  Spring season created at the CMYSL level

• All player pictures are being cleared!
• We are asking all players from all towns to have a 2025 photo uploaded for the 2025 spring season!

Jan 31^st:  Teams need to be in SportsConnect

• CMYSL Registrars should be able to see team names, division requested, players, and coaches
  • Pictures should be up to date and cropped so it only shows the person from the neck/shoulders up (Should be Passport Like)
• Placement profiles submitted into SmartSheet form for each team
• Waiver requests submitted into SmartSheet form for each player
• Any NEW coaches need to complete their annual registration

Feb 9^th: CMYSL Board meeting on team placement

• Zoom or Google Meets meeting

Feb 15^th: Initial Spring Insurance filing should be done with MA Youth

• Filing, Payment worksheet, and payment to MA Youth

Feb 16^th: Appeals hearing on team placements

• Zoom or Google Meets meeting

Mar 1st: Add /Drop team cutoff

• Field Setup/Restrictions – Must be in SportsConnect
  • Any fields not available due to graduation, PLEASE send the field and date(s) to CMYSL President to manage those game(s)
• Team divisional selections are locked in
• Payment made to CMYSL for team, assignor, and referee fees

Mar 5^th: Scheduling has started

Mar 5^th: Last Day to Order Uniforms; Anything ordered after this day is at risk for not being received by 1st game.

Mar 10^th: CMYSL Registrars start team approval process

• Coaches:
  • CORI, Concussion, and SafeSport status should be complete
    • Coaches without all 3 will NOT be approved
• Adult Players
  • Players that are 18 or will turn 18 prior to season completion are also required to complete SafeSport
    • Player SafeSport certificate to be confirmed by CMYSL U16-U19 registrar
• Players and Coaches pictures should be complete
  • Picture should be new  (within 1 year)
• Player(s) without waiver will not be accepted till waiver is granted

Mar 19th:  Target date for schedule release

Mar 16^th or 23^rd:  Coaches & Town Rep meeting; Referee meeting

• Location TBD (Would like this to be in person)

Apr 5^th & 6^th : Opening Weekend for Games!

Apr 19/20^th:  Easter weekend – No games

April 12^{th –} 20^st:  Front/Back end of School Vacation (Easter will be one of these weekends)

• Games will be scheduled on the non-Easter weekend
• These games are NOT considered school related events for postponement/rescheduling purposes

April 30^th:  Final Insurance Filing should be done with MA Youth

April 30^th:  Playoff format socialized

May 11^th: Roster freeze Date

• All MTOC teams need to be at their age group number of players
• No players can be added after this date on MTOC eligible teams
  • Even if you lose players to injury or COVID
  • This is a state rule, not a CMYSL rule

May 24^th & 25^th:  Memorial Day Weekend – No games

• Games can be played on Memorial Day weekend, if both teams agree
  • Securing a referee WILL be an issue

June 8^th: Last game for all MTOC eligible games to be played

June 11^th: Playoff Alignment -Posted

• First games on June 14th unless a tie breaker is needed
  • Tie breakers are on Thursday night June 12th

June 15^th – Last season game for U10, U12 D3, U14 D3

June 14^th & 15^th; 21^st & 22^nd: Playoffs for MTOC

June 27^th - June 29^th: MTOC in Lancaster

• Need to be alert for last day of school if we have lots of snow days

 

Gaffney:

• New idea is to try to split this up a bit
• Draft concept
  • U14 games – Saturday May 17th, rain date May 18th
  • U12 games - Saturday June 14th, rain date June 15^th
  • If weekend lost – will try for June 21^st/22^nd
